Established in 1989, as a multispecialty billing company, MIS has provided billing, consulting and practice management assistance to providers of every specialty including hospitals and other large practice groups. In 1999 we were approached by a group of registered nurse first assistants who were unable to secure reimbursement for their services.

We then began working with various state agencies to work on securing payment for these services. In addition to successful litigation against Horizon Blue Cross, we secured a mandate through NJ DOBI for mandatory payment for these services.

Because of our efforts, registered nurse first assistants are now able to practice in New Jersey independently and receive payment for their services. On top of this, we have expanded into several states and we are happy to report that these nurses are also receiving payment for their services.
